These terms and conditions apply to the North American Best Western Rewards® program (North, Central and South America, Mexico, The Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East and South Africa).

These terms and conditions supersede and replace all previous terms and conditions and are subject to change at the sole and absolute discretion of Best Western International, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively "Best Western"). 

POINTS

  • Best Western Rewards® Points ("Points") may be earned at all Best Western brand lodging establishments in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, South America, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Asia.
  • Points will be awarded for paid room night dollars (or foreign currency equivalent) only, purchased at qualifying room rates (rates eligible for Best Western Rewards® points/airline rewards).
  • Effective November 10, 2012, all rate programs qualify for earning points, except Employee Rate (EP), Friends and Family (FF), Best Western Rewards® Free Night Program (FX), Unit Card (UC), Hotwire (PL or D2), Priceline (PL, PN or D2), Priceline Promotions (1P or 2P), Orbitz Promotions (44 or 45), Travelocity Promotions (D3 or TH), Online Travel Agents (X2 or D2), Dynamic Net Rate Plan (Z9), Dynamic Net Tour Rate (X2), Global F.I.T. (FI), Aeroplan FI (92), Travel Agent (TA), Booking.com (46) and Crew or Deeply Discounted Extended Stays and Hotel Negotiated-(greater than 20 percent discount), and stays longer than 30 nights.
  • Qualifying rates may change and you should confirm eligibility to earn when making your reservation.
  • Points may not be earned in conjunction with points or airline rewards from other Best Western and/or affiliated programs.
  • Points will accumulate on the basis of 10 points per one U.S. dollar of eligible room night expenditures. Expenditures in other countries will be converted to U.S. Dollars for point accumulation. For example, if a member ("Member") purchases a stay at a Best Western brand lodging establishment at a qualifying room rate of One Hundred U.S. Dollars ($100.00), then the Member will be eligible to receive 1000 Best Western Rewards® Points.
  • In order to assure point credits, Members must present the Best Western Rewards® card ("Card") or number at check-in and obtain a completed tracking form or receipt at check-out.
  • The Card may be used by authorized signatory only. It remains the sole and exclusive property of Best Western International, Inc. and/or subsidiary issuing entity, which has the right to withdraw the Card at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion.
  • Points are not assignable, saleable, transferable, replaceable or redeemable for cash, other than as stated herein.
  • Points can only be pooled with other program participant(s) (i.e. other Members) accounts if both Members share the same address.
  • Members are eligible to receive points for up to 10 rooms when staying at Best Western brand lodging establishments. Members may receive points for all rooms (up to 10) reserved under the Member's name provided the following: (1) one room is occupied by the member, (2) all rooms are paid for by the member, (3) points for that room have not been issued to another member and (4) the Member has presented the Card or number at the time of check-in.
  • Members shall be responsible for the retention and safe keeping of all statements. Duplicate statements will not be issued under any circumstances by Best Western.
  • If a Member believes he or she has not received point credit(s) or airline rewards credit, they should contact the nearest Best Western Rewards® Customer Care office. Requests must be received by Best Western Rewards® Customer Care within six months from the date of activity. For new Members, credit will be accepted for any qualifying Best Western Rewards® stay occurring within 30 days prior to enrollment in the Program. Written requests should include the Member's name, Best Western Rewards® account number, address and daytime telephone number and/or e-mail address. Failure to supply the adequate and unaltered documentation may result in denial of such point credit. For the Member's protection, all hotel travel documentation should be retained by the Member until the point credit has appeared on his or her Best Western Rewards® statement.
  • Commencing March 1, 2006, Points earned and Points existing as of March 1, 2006, shall not expire.
  • Best Western, its agents, employees, and travel partners will not be responsible for award requests or correspondence lost or delayed by any postal service or carrier.
  • Best Western reserves the right to add, modify, or delete Best Western Rewards® terms, conditions, or award levels with or without notice, as determined in Best Western's sole and absolute discretion.
  • Best Western reserves the right to terminate the Best Western Rewards® program subject to one year advanced notice, and the right to determine the forum, content and manner for giving of such notice in Best Western's sole and absolute discretion.
  • The Best Western Rewards® program is void where prohibited by law.
  • Membership Cancellation. BWI reserves the right to cancel any Best Western Rewards® membership and revoke any and all unredeemed Best Western Rewards® points collected by any member for reasons that include, but are not limited to: 1) violation of these Terms and Conditions; 2) misrepresentation of any information or any misuse of this Program; 3) violation of any national, state or local law or regulation in connection with the use of membership privileges; 4) failure to pay for hotel charges; 5) a check to a participating hotel brand that is returned for insufficient funds or is invalid for any reason; 6) commission of fraud or abuse involving any portion of this Program; 7) more than one active account per member; or 8) action, in any other way, determined to be offensive to, or to the detriment of the Program or any of its alliances; all as may be determined by BWI in its sole discretion.
 

AWARDS - GENERAL

  • Determination and payment of tax liability is the responsibility of the program participant.
  • A Best Western Rewards® member may use a maximum of 1,250,000 earned points to procure awards during a twelve (12) month period. Any additional points shall be suspended for use until the following twelve (12) month period.
  • Neither Best Western nor Best Western Rewards® shall be responsible for lost or stolen awards certificates.
  • All Best Western Rewards® Awards ("Awards") are subject to revision by Best Western, in its sole and absolute discretion.
  • All Awards will be issued by the Best Western Awards Center. Awards may be obtained by calling 1-800-237-8483, or by ordering on-line at: www.bestwesternrewards.com.
  • Awards shall require a minimum of three weeks for delivery from date of request.
  • Many of the items in the Best Western Rewards® Awards catalog are available in several denominations. Please include all specifications on your award request.
  • Best Western Rewards® points shown for each Award are for redemption of that one item only. Point amounts for each Award are subject to change at any time without notice.
  • All Awards listed are from independent suppliers with the exception of Best Western Global Cheques and Global Free Room Night Vouchers, and are subject to the terms and conditions printed on each certificate. Each independent supplier reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate any or all rules, regulations or offers at any time without notice. Best Western shall not be liable for any supplier change(s).
  • Best Western and Best Western Rewards® make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, with respect to such items, and shall not be liable for any loss, expense, accident or inconvenience that may arise in connection with the use of such items.
  • Certificates are listed in U.S. currency unless noted otherwise on their face.
  • Best Western reserves the right to discontinue awards at any time, to be determined in Best Western's sole and absolute discretion.
 

AIRLINE REWARDS

In order to earn airline rewards, you must be a Member and indicate your preference to either earn airline rewards or program points. You must expressly indicate your airline program preference and provide your frequent flyer membership number in your Best Western Rewards® Member Profile. You may add this information at any time by logging in to your Best Western Rewards® account from the My Account section on any page or by calling Customer Service at 1-800-237-8483. All standard airline program rules and conditions apply. Best Western has numerous airline partners (see full list of airline partners). Each airline reserves the right to change their program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers at any time without notice and each airline is not responsible for programs, products or services offered by other participating companies. Best Western shall not be liable for any airline change(s).

  • Airline rewards may be earned at all Best Western brand lodging establishments in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, South America, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and Asia, with the exception of AIR MILES®, which can only be earned at Best Western brand lodging establishments in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
  • Airline rewards will be awarded for paid room nights only, purchased at qualifying room rates (rates eligible for Best Western Rewards® points/airline rewards).

  • Airline/Partner rewards will accumulate on the basis of 250 miles/rewards per stay except for those members that earn airline miles/partner rewards with Southwest Airlines®, Lufthansa or AIR MILES®. Members who choose Southwest Airlines will earn 600 points per stay. Members who choose Lufthansa will earn 500 miles per stay. Members who choose AIR MILES® will earn 20 reward miles per stay.
  • In order to assure airline rewards credit(s), Members must present the Best Western Rewards® card ("Card") or number at check-in and obtain a completed tracking form or receipt at check-out.

BEST WESTERN GLOBAL FREE ROOM NIGHT VOUCHERS

Best Western Global Free Room Night and Global Free Room Night Vouchers (collectively "Free Room Nights") are valid for single or double occupancy and entitle the bearer to one (1) room night free accommodation. Hotel Free Room Night point levels range from 8,000 points to 36,000 as follows:

Level 1 Hotel 8,000 Points
Level 2 Hotel 12,000 Points
Level 3 Hotel 16,000 Points
Level 4 Hotel 20,000 Points
Level 5 Hotel 24,000 Points
Level 6 Hotel 28,000 Points
Level 7 Hotel 32,000 Points
Level 8 Hotel 36,000 Points

Bearer will be responsible for any separate charges incurred, including but not limited to food and beverage, movie rental, etc. Bearer will not be charged for room taxes. All other tax liabilities are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the user. Free Room Nights are fully transferable and can be used at any Best Western brand lodging establishment in Asia, Australia, Europe, Central America, North America and South America that accepts the point value designated with the Free Room Night, subject to capacity controls and lodging establishment room availability, which may limit the availability of rooms offered at Best Western hotels. Free Room Nights are not exchangeable for cash. The Free Room Night must be used within six (6) months from the date of issue to be valid. To check availability and make room reservations using the Free Room Nights, please call 800-782-9422 and ask for rate code "FX".
